These exquisite hand-knotted Chobi Runners represent the pinnacle of Afghan craftsmanship. Masterfully created by Turkoman weavers using locally handspun sheep wool, each piece features the distinctive abrash effect achieved through vegetable dyeing techniques. The term "Chobi" derives from "Chob" (wood) in Farsi, reflecting the natural elements used in the dyeing process—roots, bark, shells, and plant materials.
